Theo was made during a period of becoming, when I first moved away from home to attend university in a new city.
I felt exposed, in a way. I wanted to protect myself, but not yet knowing how.
Using skin-like material, the work forms a soft, fragile enclosure, suspended three storeys high.
A tension between being seen and hiding. A body trying to take up space while growing its own protection at the same time.

Theo sits at an early stage of maturity, where vulnerability is still close to the surface.
